Kolkata: West Bengal BJP MP Jagannath Sarkar, who was returning home after watching the film 'The Kashmir Files' showing the gruesome massacre of Kashmiri Hindus, has come to light. He narrowly escaped in this attack. Jagannath Sarkar confirmed the attack and said that the police were late in coming to the spot.

Regarding this incident, Jagannath Sarkar said, 'I was returning after watching The Kashmir Files film. During this, someone threw a bomb on my car from behind. We narrowly survived this attack. Police reached the spot 10 minutes late. No one is safe in Bengal. He further said that democracy has been destroyed in Bengal. To improve and manage its condition, President's rule (section 356) should be imposed, otherwise all this is not going to stop.

BJP's IT cell chief Amit Malviya has said on this incident that, 'Attack on BJP MP Jagannath Sarkar from Ranaghat, throw bombs on his car. He was recently appointed in-charge of the Ballygunge assembly by-election... If an MP is not safe in Bengal, one can imagine how law and order has collapsed under Mamata Banerjee's watch. He is the Home Minister.
