RAJKOT:  Five students have reportedly been arrested for sexually harassing another student in a university in Rajkot, police said on Friday.

In the past month, the 19-year-old victim has been threatened, blackmailed, and subjected to abnormal sex by several of his classmates. The victim student has been admitted to a hospital here.

The student allegedly endured mental trauma and physical agony as a result of being sodomised by five classmates between September 28 and October 19 according to the complaint made to the Kuvadva police station.

The student claimed that five other students had held him against his will in a dorm room, videotaped him while he was naked, and then blackmailed him. They coerced him into forced sex and threatened to let his video go public. They forcibly also inserted external things in his rectum, the complaint alleged.

The accused are heard telling the girl in one video footage that she has three options: "Either you chop off your private parts, you die, or you leap to your death from the dormitory."

Five children were named in the complaint, three of whom were being questioned, a police station officer said. The complaint was lodged for unnatural offence, criminal intimidation, wrongful confinement,  and various sections of Information and Technology (IT) Act.
