AHMEDABAD: 21 devotees have been reported dead in a painful road accident on Monday in Banaskantha district of Gujarat. According to official information, the victims of the accident were returning from the famous Ambaji temple here on the occasion of Navratri. Meanwhile, due to rain, the bus filled with passengers overturned near Trishulia Ghat. PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have mourned the incident.

According to local people, the incident took place around 4 pm on Monday evening. People say that the devotees on the bus were returning after visiting the Ambaji temple. After the accident, CM Vijay Rupani of Gujarat has spoken to the District Collector and said that to help the injured immediately. After the information of the bus accident, all the officials of Banaskantha district administration have reached the spot. Apart from this, teams of police and NDRF are also being sent on the spot and work is being done to bring the injured to the hospital.

Speaking to presspersons after the accident, Banaskantha SP Ajit Raijan has said that at present, 21 people have been reported killed in the incident. Apart from this, many other people are injured, who are undergoing treatment. The district administration is providing all possible help to the injured.
