Gwalior: In Madhya Pradesh, corona infection is on the rise and crime cases are also coming to light on the other. The recent case that has come to light is from Gwalior district. Forgetting the 10-year-old friendship here, a young man called the student to his house and took her hostage. According to information received in the case, the student and her friend were beaten for hours by the youth with sticks and belts after being called. He also set fire to her scooters and mobiles. The incident is said to have taken place at 7 pm last Saturday.

The incident took place at Ramnath Singh College campus in Sithauli. The girl students somehow informed the police from here and as soon as they got the news, the police rushed to the spot and rescued the girls. The reason for the controversy in the case was the student's protest over the marriage of the youth. Jhansi Road police have reportedly registered a case of assault on the student's complaint by taking her friend, friend's father and brother hostage. The accused are currently absconding. As part of the information received in the case, Riya was befriended by Awadhesh Singh Kushwaha in 2011. Avadhesh lives on the college campus.

When Riya called her at 6 pm last Saturday evening, she said she was in her home on the college campus. He then called Riya to meet her there. Riya took her friend Varsha to Avadhesh's house from scooter number MP07SP-0745. There he met with his wife. Seeing this, Riya told her that you were married so never call her again. On hearing this, Avadhesh started abusing him. When Riya opposed it, Avadhesh along with his father Shivnarayan and brother Avinash took Riya and Varsha hostage in the room and beat them with sticks.
