Chandigarh: A case of defaming the relationship between husband and wife has been reported in the Sonipat district of Haryana. Shatrughan, a man living in Taranagar, suspected the character of his wife Poonam and stabbed his wife more than 30 times with a sharp weapon, causing her to die.
Sonipat police seized the body after receiving information about the case and rushed it to civil hospital for postmortem. The police has registered a case of murder and started further investigation. In fact, Shatrughan and Poonam, a couple living in Taranagar in Sonipat, had been fighting for a long time. Shatrughan suspected his wife Poonam's character that he had a close relationship with someone outside, due to which there was a dispute between them. On this suspicion, he stabbed his wife Poonam 30 times with a sharp weapon on her body. Poonam died on the spot.
After receiving information about the murder, the civil line police of Sonipat rushed to the spot and seized the body and rushed it to the civil hospital. Police have registered a case of murder against Shatrughan on the statement of deceased Poonam's father Bhagwan Das and raids are on in search of him.
