New Delhi: The Kejriwal government of the state has provided a government job to the brother of IB employee Ankit Sharma, who lost his life in the Delhi violence. CM Arvind Kejriwal has given a government job certificate to the family. Ankit Sharma's brother has been posted in the education department of Delhi. Earlier, financial assistance of 1 crore was also given to the family.

CM Arvind Kejriwal tweeted and wrote that 'lack of human can never be met, but this government job and 1 crore assistance will give strength to the family, will help the family in every possible way in future also.' Let us inform that riots broke out on 24 February after clashes broke out in Delhi during the protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in the year 2020, in which at least 53 people died and about 200 people were injured. . The body of IB officer Ankit Sharma was recovered from a drain near his house in the riot-hit Chand Bagh area on February 26, a day after he went missing.

Ankit's family members had alleged that his murderer was none other than Tahir Hussain. Ankit's father and brother alleged that during the violence, Tahir Hussain's supporters dragged Ankit away and after killing him, the body was thrown into the drain. Ankit Sharma's postmortem report revealed more than 450 blows to his head, face, chest, back and waist with a sharp weapon. The Delhi Police, in its chargesheet filed last June, had alleged that there was a deep-rooted conspiracy behind Sharma's murder, as he was specifically the target of a mob led by Hussain.
