Rail traffic affected during Covid has now started to return to normal. Indian Railways had removed all trains from special category to general category. This has led to passengers getting 20% to 30% relief in fare fares. However, there are still many trains in which general coaches also have to travel by making reservations. Indian Railways is slowly moving towards making general coaches reservation free.

In view of this, it has been decided to deunreserved some general coaches of a total of 9 pairs of trains i.e. 18 trains running under the jurisdiction of East Central Railway from December 20. Now, in this context, Rajesh Kumar, CPRO, East Central Railway has informed that' For the convenience of passengers, it has been decided to run some reserved coaches of 09 pairs of special trains reserved for general category (2S) between different stations in East Central Railway jurisdiction by railways as unreserved coaches in lieu of reserved from December 20.'
