Indore:  6 cases of domestic violence registered in Indore. Police have already started the investigation. These cases are against husband and in-laws at different police stations. Two women alleged that their father-in-law used to beat and brother-in-law tried to molest. In another case, the husband asked for dowry.  According to information received, A complaint was filed by Prachi Singh Khegar (26) of Ekvira Apartment Rambagh area at Sadar Baazar police station. She filed the complaint against her husband Anurag Singh, father-in-law Rajendra Singh Khegar, mother-in-law Sharda Ben, elder mother-in-law Naina Ben and sister-in-law Amisha. Amisha lives in Gujarat.

Prachi said that she got married to Anurag on November 30, 2011, and soon after the marriage, he started demanding dowry. Prachi said that his father-in-law started beating her, he slapped her a number of times and when she opposed him, the in-laws harassed her and forced her to go to her father's home. Prachi further said, "My in-laws asked me for lakhs rupees as a dowry," Bhanwarkuan police have registered a case of dowry, harassment, and molestation against Prachi's brother-in-law and her husband.

In another case, the woman got married on November 28, 1999, and she has three daughters. A year after her marriage her brother-in-law started harassing her and asked her to get married to him. In this case, the woman police have filed a case against husband Hemendra Singh Panwar, father-in-law Rajendra Singh Panwar and mother-in-law Jyoti Panwar.
