Kings XI Punjab will play their final match number 43 of VIVO IPL 2018 at Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore as they host Royal Challengers Bangalore in their second home ground.

Kings XI Punjab was placed on top of the table with five wins from six matches. However, KXIP have posted only one win in their next five matches, and hence find themselves locked in a survival race of playoff. In their most recent meet, KXIP were thrown away by the Kolkata Knight Riders, as KKR posted 245-6 – the highest total of the 11th season of IPL.

On the other hand Royal Challengers Bangalore are also part of the survival race too as the Kohli-led RCB are currently placed seventh in the eight-team table, and come into this match at the back of a booming win over the Delhi Daredevils on Saturday night.

RCB has not won two consecutive matches in this season, RCB cannot afford one more defeat, and they need to win this to stay in conflict for a playoff spot.
