After a total of 56 league matches in Vivo Indian Premier League 2018 season is now moving its wrapping up session with the final day on Sunday.
Ken Williamson -led Sunrisers Hyderabad topped the IPL 11 points table while Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings finishing second with a tremendous win against R. Ashwin –led Kings XI Punjab.
By Grabbing in the top two spots, they have given themselves the comfort of having two bites at the cherry to hunt the final of the tournament.
Kartik –led Kolkata Knight Riders have third with spot in the pointing table with 16 points while Rahane –led Rajasthan Royals grabbed 14 points which qualified on the very last day of league matches to beat CSK by 34 runs.
Neither Mumbai Indians nor Kings XI Punjab made the entries in the playoffs.
Since the beginning of the 11 season from April 7, Kane Williamson’s side sit contentedly with full comfort at the top of the table with 18 points and face second-placed Chennai, which returned to action after bearing a ban of two years, in the first Qualifier.
It is worth mentioning here Both SRH and CSK finished with 18 points but Hyderabad finished to some extent of better net run rate.
KKR and RR by finishing third and fourth respectively will have one chance at going forward in the tournament and now they will square off in the Eliminator.
