Mangalore: A couple has been happy for fear of black fungus in Karnataka. Both husband and wife had turned corona positive. In her own happiness note, the husband wrote that my wife is a diabetic, news channels said that even diabetics positive from corona will be infected with black fungus and lose their organs. In the suicide note, the husband said that we assumed that it would cost a lot and that is why we are committing suicide. The deceased have been identified as Ramesh (40) and Guna R Suvarna (35). The two were living in an apartment in Bekampadyo in Mangalore. Ramesh's wife Guna Suvarna was suffering from diabetes.

Both of them showed signs of coronavirus in the last week. The husband and wife also sent an audio message to city police commissioner N Shashi Kumar before suicide. In the audio message, the couple said that they were scared about the black fungus, so they decided to kill themselves. Thereafter, the Commissioner of Police appealed to them not to take any hasty steps. He (Commissioner) also appealed through media groups to trace the couple and save their lives. Meanwhile, the police reached the apartment and found that the duo had been happy themselves.

The suicide note says that Guna could never have a baby due to some health problems and therefore avoided mingling with individuals because they asked him about it. The suicide note read, "We appeal to Sharan Pumpwell and Satyajit Suratkal to cremate us according to Hindu customs.''
