The Canadian actor Keanu Reeves born in Beirut found himself in controversy over the Covid-19 issue. The news broke out that the cast and crew of The Matrix 4 didn’t follow the measures of COVID-19 and broke the laws in Germany.
For the unread ones, the fourth part of The Matrix film has resumed production after the lockdown rules were eased. The team scheduled the shoot for the movie in Germany. The report claims that the team recently hosted a wrap party with 200 people attending the event, which is disrespect for the country’s government currently owing to the pandemic. The party took place on November 11. According to German outlet Bild, Reeves was among the attendees at the party and joined by his partner Alexandra Grant. The party was at Babelsberg film studios located about half an hour away from Central Berlin. It was revealed that Berlin and its neighboring state of Brandenburg, parties with only 50 people. They were provided with permitted and are registered in advance. The submission of a "hygiene concept" has been approved by authorities. Attendees are requested to maintain social distance and wear masks when they are not eating or drinking while partying.
Following the news, Studio Babelsberg spokeswoman Bianca Makarewicz said that as per the producers of the movie, the film team shot a "celebration scene". In the meantime, the Potsdam city spokesman was responsible for granting permission for parties, said that they weren't informed about any event.
