On the evening of 16 June 2013, there was a sudden increase in water level. It seemed that gradually everything will calm down. The ashram of Anandagiri was also washed away behind the temple. When I started going towards the temple at five in the morning on June 17, I saw a pile of corpses lying around. The market was fine. I started moving towards the temple. All four were devastated. Many temples and the surrounding buildings were left.

We were taking stock of the situation that a tornado suddenly occurred. I reached the second floor of the house. Within two minutes all that was left was also destroyed. Birla's Dharamshala, Annapurna Temple, Sahara's guest house, everything was destroyed. A big rock came and stood behind the temple. When I set foot inside the temple, there was a feeling of the swamp. Looked carefully, the upper end of Mahadev Shila was seen.

I saw many people dying. But I could not do anything The velocity of the water was so high that even the clothes of the people descended. The first helicopter service reached Kedarnath on 19 June. (Purohit Srinivas Posti was present in Kedarnath during the disaster of Kedarnath. Everyone was evacuated from Kedarnath later by heli service. He shared this experience)
