Kochi: A Christian priest in Kerala has been arrested on charges of sexual abuse of children at a Boys Home. The accused pastor is being named as Francis George and is the director of the Sacred Hearts Boys Home in Kochi. George has been arrested on a complaint by the children of Boyz Home.

The report said that some children from the Boys' Home fled and called their homebuyers with the help of a passerby. The children told the family on the phone. The housemates then contacted the police and George's pole was exposed. An official at Palluruthi police station, on condition of anonymity, said that George alias Jerry (40), director of the Perumpdam Boys Home, has been taken into custody on the basis of a complaint from the parents of the children.

Police said the pastor was detained on the basis of a complaint from the parents of the children and his arrest took place on Sunday. According to a complaint filed by the parents of seven children, the pastor had been sexually exploiting the children for a long time. When we received a complaint, we took action and arrested the priest.
