Two criminal cases have been filed in Amritsar and Kapurthala in Punjab against a designated Khalistani terrorist. Sikh for Justice (SFJ) militant Gurpatwant Singh Pannu has gone mad in this case. Gurpatwant's dozens of pro-Khalistani websites and social media accounts have been suspended, but he is now working to spread terrorism in the name of Khalistan through directly recorded phone calls.

Apart from the central government, the Punjab government, there are constant threats to media personnel and police officers. Gurpatwant Singh has not been able to get support for Referendum 2020 in Punjab and Haryana. Now Gurptwant Singh is spreading terror through call recordings. Sometimes phone calls are being made from New York, sometimes Belgium or sometimes from Pakistan. Millions of people in Punjab and Haryana are receiving phone calls three to four times per day. In these recorded phone calls, Gurpatwant talks about his dream of making Punjab independent from India.

When he could not garner support from extremist people, he also started giving money to people. First tempted to give Rs 5,000 to those suffering from the epidemic, and now telling soldiers to give an additional Rs 5,000 in addition to salary. Recently Punjab Government declared him a designated terrorist. BJP leader Vineet Joshi clearly said that Gurpatwant Singh Pannu is neither a Sikh nor does he have any proof of being a Sikh. He is trying to tarnish the identity of Sikhs in the name of Khalistan.
