Kolar police have arrested unidentified miscreants who molested and assaulted a 27-year-old girl near JK hospital late in the evening on Saturday; victim was hit by stone by the miscreant.

According to the police, the victim was on her way to home after visiting hospital and when she reached the outside gate accused hindered her way and tried to molest her and later assaulted her when she tried to oppose. The victim raised an alarm after which locals rushed to her rescue.

The accused escaped from the spot. The police have started the investigation and registered case of molestation. In her complaint victim stated that she was pushed and stone pelted by the accused who she had never seen before but appeared and molested her, in the attack victim escaped with injuries and her condition is reportedly stable. Based on the complaint and after the preliminary investigation, police registered a case of molestation, threatening of life, assaulting the victim. Police suspect that the accused is involved in molestation and other crimes and habitual criminals of the area would be quizzed to establish the identity of the accused.
