Ranchi: A man was murdered in Purnadih village in Mandhania panchayat of Jharkhand. Tetar, son of Couple Ganjhu, a resident of Purnadih village, was sleeping with his wife Pano Devi in his house. At around 12:30 am, two youths opened the door and took Tetar out of the house and killed him. When asked, Pano said, "We got married to Tetar this year. After marriage, my ex-boyfriend Sumit threatened to kill me and my husband. He is a resident of Sarnatoli in Chandwa police station area. After my marriage, he called me to his house threatening me. Then I ran away with him."

The wife of the deceased said that her boyfriend blackmailed me for a few days and sexually abused me and then let me go. Then I came close to my husband. Then, around 12:30 am on Sunday, Sumit along with another man came to my house and opened the door and tied my hands, legs and mouth and took my husband out of the house. Then in the morning, the two young men brought my husband to the house and took him to a room.  

After a while, Sumit opened my hand and went away with his partner, saying that I will meet you once more. And if you tell anyone about this incident, I will destroy you and your father-in-law as well as the whole village. Then when I went to the room near my husband, I found his body hanging from my own saree. The two boys killed my husband and brought him to the house and hanged him. After the murder of my husband, I was lying unconscious in the house all day on Monday.
