The first teaser trailer for Martin Scorsese's crime drama Killers of the Flower Moon features Leonardo DiCaprio and Lily Gladstone as a couple who are involved in an investigation into the strange deaths of members of the Osage tribe in Oklahoma.

The one-minute, 50-second short, which was unveiled on Thursday night by Apple TV and Paramount Pictures, starts with a slow-motion footage of a few Osage tribe members dancing after finding an oil fountain. The character of Leonardo DiCaprio is then introduced as he reads from a book about Osage culture while attempting to "find wolves in the picture."

After 30 years, Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro are reunited on screen in the first trailer for Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon. In this serial murder mystery set in 1920s America, the two Hollywood stars are joined by Jesse Plemons and Lily Gladstone. The movie will make its international premiere on May 20, 2023, at the 76th Cannes Film Festival. It will then be shown in US cinemas in October 2023 before being broadcast on Apple TV+ later that year.

 According to reports, the movie's narrative centers on a string of slayings that occurred in the 1920s in the Osage Nation in Oklahoma after oil was allegedly discovered on tribal grounds.

In the movie, Robert De Niro and Leonardo play uncle and nephew. Previously, they collaborated on the 1993 movie This Boy's Life. When Lily's character, Leonardo, marries an Indigenous woman, the rest of the village treats her unfairly. The FBI agent looking into the cast is Jesse. "Can you find the wolves in this picture?" is a sentence from the teaser that has been exploited to terrifying effect.

After nearly 30 years, DiCaprio and De Niro will team up again for the movie. The 1993 film This Boy's Life was their final appearance together. With Killers of the Flower Moon, Scorsese collaborates with DiCaprio for the seventh time and with De Niro for the eleventh time.

The drama is one of Martin's lengthier movies, clocking in at three hours and 26 minutes. It is a strong Oscar contender for the next year and was adapted from David Grann's best-selling nonfiction book Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI, which was published in 2017.
