Chennai: A case of rape of a woman Air Force officer from Tamil Nadu has come to light. The woman officer has accused the fellow lieutenant of raping her. The victim has also accused air force officials of not cooperating in the case. At present, the accused officer has been arrested by the police and sent to jail.

An Indian Air Force lieutenant has been arrested for raping a woman officer at Coimbatore Air Force College in Tamil Nadu. The case is of Indian Air Force College in Red Fields in Coimbatore. Here in the month of August, 30 Air Force Officers from all over India arrived for training. A 29-year-old woman officer who came for training suffered a leg injury while playing basketball on September 10, after which she took painkillers before going to bed.

The woman official said that when she woke up in the middle of the night, she found herself naked and was stunned to see herself. It was then that she caught sight of the accused officer lying naked next to them. The woman officer then accused the Air Force lieutenant of raping her. The woman officer claimed that she complained to senior officials during that time but there was no hearing. The victim then approached the Coimbatore city police commissioner and later the Gandhipuram All Women Police launched an investigation into the case on the basis of which the accused lieutenant was arrested.
