Indore: A case of forced conversion has come to light from the Agar Malwa district of Madhya Pradesh. Nasir and his son Zubair Khan reportedly forcibly circumcised their servant Dashrath and forced him to convert. Police have registered a case against Nasir and Zubair Khan under the Madhya Pradesh Religious Freedom Ordinance 2020.

According to media reports, 31-year-old Dashrath told police that Dr Nasir Khan, a resident of Malikheda, along with his son, forcibly circumcised him. They beat him up when he went to the temple and threatened him to accept Islam. The victim alleged that the father and son had also forced him to offer prayers. Kotwali police station in-charge Ranjit Singar told media that Dashrath Maihar (31 years) resident Ganeshpura Gangdhar district Jhalawar had filed a complaint against Nasir Khan and his son Zubair Khan. He said in his complaint that he had been working as a servant with Nasir, who was accused since 2007.

In the meantime, the father and son threatened Dashrath to convert forcefully. Dashrath said in the complaint that he was forcibly circumcised by the accused about 7 months ago. They also used to offer prayers to him wearing a hat. Moreover, they did not allow him to go to the temple or allow him to celebrate any Hindu festival. If Dashrath did not obey him, they beat up. The accused repeatedly told him that we had brought you up for so many years, so you had to convert. Police are still investigating the entire case.
