Mumbai: Senior Congress leader and Maharashtra Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Ashok Chavan has recovered from the coronavirus infection. Former Maharashtra CM Ashok Chavan has been discharged from the hospital today. Let us tell you that Ashok Chavan was found to be corona infected in May, after which he was admitted to the hospital in the last week.

Earlier, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and Housing Minister Jitendra Ahwad in Maharashtra government was also confirmed to be Corona virus positive. He was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai for more than two weeks and has now returned home from infection. It is noteworthy that Maharashtra has the most corona patients in the country. More than 74 thousand cases of coronavirus have been registered in Maharashtra. So far 74860 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the state. According to the data available on the website of the Ministry of Health, there are 39944 active cases of coronavirus in Maharashtra, while 32329 people have become healthy so far. So far, 2587 people have died due to corona virus in the state.

Let us tell you that in the last 24 hours, the highest number of new 9304 cases of Corona virus infection have been reported in the country, while 260 people have lost their lives. With this, till Thursday, the number of infected people and those who died from this deadly virus has increased to 216919 and 6075 respectively.
