Etawah: On Tuesday, police officials were notified about a young man's suicide in the Ikdil area of the Etawah district after he shot his female primary school teacher six times.

According to police sources, the woman appeared to have been shot to death. After being admitted, the woman was told by the medical staff at a private hospital in Etawah that she had been shot six times.

The woman's health is critical, according to the hospital's doctors, and she is receiving treatment. The woman's family said that they were notified by a passerby that she was injured and lying on the road, at which point the police responded.

The district's top officials, the police, and the forensic team all convened at the scene to conduct an inquiry. The police force from multiple police stations, including Etawah Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jayprakash Singh, and DM Avnish Kumar Rai's convoy arrived at the scene to conduct an inspection.

When given details about the case, Etawah SSP Jaiprakash Singh said, "First a woman being shot was coming to light, but when the young man's dead body was retrieved, numerous secrets of both instances were exposed."

The injured mother and the deceased youth knew one another, according to SSP Etawah. Investigations are being conducted, and whatever information is discovered as a result, will be used to guide future action. Further details are awaited.
