Los Angeles: Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach are gearing up to headline Marvel Studios' upcoming film, "The Fantastic Four."

This marks the highly anticipated entry of the beloved superhero quartet into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), following 20th Century Fox's merger with The Walt Disney Company in 2019. Pascal is set to portray Reed Richards (also known as Mr. Fantastic), Kirby will take on the role of Sue Storm (the Invisible Woman), Quinn will embody Johnny Storm (aka the Human Torch), and Moss-Bachrach will portray Ben Grimm, famously known as the Thing.

The film, set to be directed by Matt Shakman of "WandaVision" fame, will feature a screenplay by Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer, according to reports from Variety.

Based on the iconic characters created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby for Marvel Comics, "The Fantastic Four" is scheduled for release by Disney on July 25, 2025.

In keeping with Marvel's tradition, specific details about the plot remain under wraps. However, according to the comics, the Fantastic Four gain their superpowers after exposure to cosmic rays during a space mission.

Reed gains the ability to stretch his body to incredible lengths, Sue (Reed's partner) can manipulate light to turn invisible and create force fields, Johnny (Sue's brother) can transform into fire and fly, while Ben (Reed's close friend) becomes a powerhouse of super strength as the Thing.

Prior to this announcement, Fox had produced three films featuring the Fantastic Four characters. The films, released in 2005 and 2007, starred Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Michael Chiklis, and Chris Evans. However, in 2015, Fox attempted to reboot the franchise with Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Jamie Bell, and Michael B. Jordan, which received poor reviews and performed below expectations at the box office.
