Shillong: On any occasion, whether it is religious, social or anniversaries of prominent personalities, messages from the Governor, Chief Minister and Speaker of the Assembly are sent to the media houses in the form of advertisements. However, this time on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, the message of the Meghalaya Governor was missing from local newspapers and websites on Saturday.
 
When asked, a senior Raj Bhavan official said that "there was some coordination issue". "We are giving a press release on Gandhi Jayanti celebrations at Raj Bhavan," the official said. Governor Satya Pal Malik is in the city. Meanwhile, on Saturday morning, the Governor paid floral tributes to the Father of the Nation at a program at the Raj Bhavan.
