Guwahati: In a shocking incident, a 10-year-old girl has been raped several times by a religious preacher of a mosque in Chelanghat area in Teok, Jorhat. Recorded by the parents of the victim. The victim's mother alleged that the accused, who often took her minor daughter to her room on the pretext, used to take her. Like other days, yesterday also he took the girl to his room to wipe and raped her.

When the girl returned to her home, her mother questioned her on the basis of suspicion, then the girl told her mother what the religious preacher had done to her. She also said that the religious preacher had come to her area during the lockdown. Based on his complaint, the Teok police arrested the preacher. Defaming the face of the state, a 13-year-old minor was raped by Til Bahadur Chhetri (65), resident of Borbheti No. 2 under Sutia police station in Biswanath district on Sunday.

He raped the minor at his house a few days back but the minor did not disclose the fact due to fear. He told his family about the entire incident on Saturday night. Then the family members of the minor along with other women of the area lodged an FIR against Til Bahadur at the Sutia police station and on Sunday the Sutia police immediately arrested the accused. A large number of women gathered in the premises of Sutia police station and demanded separate punishment for the culprits.
