Chennai: Opposition parties that are against the Citizenship Amendment Act, are engaged in besieging the Modi government. This issue has caught fire in North India and Northeast as well as in South India. The southern parties have also demanded inclusion of Tamil refugees from Sri Lanka in the Citizenship Amendment Act, meanwhile DMK leader MK Stalin has put the issue of national anthem in Sri Lanka to the central government.

DMK leader MK Stalin tweeted on Friday that, "The Government of Sri Lanka has decided to sing the national anthem only in Sinhalese language on the occasion of Independence Day." This type of decision will serve to shore up the Tamil people in Sri Lanka. I am Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Foreign Minister S. I request Jaishankar to intervene in this matter.

Let us tell you that on February 4, Sri Lanka is going to celebrate 72nd Independence Day. On this occasion, a big program will be organized on the square of Colombo, in which the national anthem will be sung in Singhala language. This order has been issued by the Public Administration Ministry. MK Stalin has tweeted on this issue. They believe that Tamils have also been tortured in Sri Lanka, they too should be given asylum in India.
