Mumbai: The savage death of a 20-year-old girl in Mumbai's Kurla neighbourhood after she was raped has once again embarrassed mankind. The event caused quite a stir in the neighbourhood once it was publicly disclosed. The Mumbai Police Department has now taken swift action in the matter, arresting two suspects, Rizwan Sheikh and Faisal Sheikh. After rapping the girl, the accused stabbed her 26 times and hit her in the skull with a hammer, causing the girl to lose an eye.
According to the report, the mutilated body of a 20-year-old girl was discovered in a shuttered building in the HDI complex in Kurla on Saturday (November 27). According to police, four boys went into the closed building to take movies when they found the decomposing body. They promptly reported the incident to the authorities. When police arrived on the scene, they seized the corpse and took it to Rajawadi Hospital, where a postmortem was performed. The girl was horribly tortured to death after being raped, according to the post mortem report.
When the cops discovered the body, she was brutally mutilated. Police are now reviewing CCTV video from the area. However, two suspects in the case have been apprehended by police at Mumbai's Vinoba Bhave police station. According to police, the accused Rizwan Sheikh (18) was the one who brought the girl to the crime scene. Faisal Sheikh, one of his pals, was already there. During police questioning, the accused admitted that Rizwan Sheikh and the girl were already dating.
Rizwan was continually pressured by the girl to get married, but the accused refused. So he plotted to assassinate the young woman in order to get rid of her. He summoned the girl, and the two fatally assaulted her there. He was stabbed 26 times with a wheel, and a hammer was used to bash him in the head, causing one of the young women's eyes to pop out. When asked about the event, Mumbai DCP (Zone 5) Prannoy Ashok claimed that a special team has been formed to look into it. The two defendants have been charged under sections 302 and 376 of the Indian Penal Code.
