The Civil Amendment Bill 2019 has been passed in both the houses of Parliament in the past. After being stamped by the President, it has now taken the form of law. Protests against this Act are continuing in the North Eastern States. Some anti-national elements are also involved in the work of provoking the fire of protest. In view of this, the army has asked people to be vigilant.

While issuing advisory, the Indian Army has requested people to be vigilant about fake news and false information. The army has said that it is necessary to be careful of fake news being spread by some suspicious people on social media regarding its action in the northeast. According to the army, people should not pay attention to such false news. Meanwhile, curfew imposed in the capital Guwahati has been relaxed from 9 am to 4 pm on Saturday to control violent protests in Assam.

For your information, let us tell you that in view of the security situation due to the protests during this period, at least 26 army troops have been deployed in Assam. Not only this, mobile Internet services in 10 districts of Assam have been suspended for the next 48 hours. The districts of Assam where Internet services have been suspended include Lakhimpur, Tinsukia, Dhemaji, Dibrugarh, Charaidev, Sivasagar, Jorhat, Golaghat, Kamrup.
