Hyderabad : Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar during his padyatra 'Praja Sangram Yatra' in Medak district said that, seeing the plight of the people, it is felt whether there is a government in the state or not. He challenged Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to discuss the welfare programs in the state. He said that during his padyatra, people everywhere were welcoming the BJP. The BJP leader demanded the state government to officially celebrate Telangana Liberation Day on September 17. Bandi Sanjay said, "When I am demanding schemes like Dalit Bandhu for other communities and raising issues related to farmers, unemployed youth and women, the ruling party is calling my speech 'provocative speech'. If explaining facts is to provoke people, the party will surely continue to do so.

He alleged that the state government was pushed into a debt-ridden state due to incompetence and corrupt practices. Sanjay said that the TRS government in the last seven years borrowed Rs 4 lakh crore in the name of development and put a burden of Rs 1 lakh on every citizen of the state. He said that the financial situation has become such that the government employees are not getting their salary even on the 12th of the month and the salary is being given in installments. He said, we have started padyatra to know the problems of the people including students, farmers and people.

Former MP Vijaya Shanti said the padyatra was not for any publicity. The padyatra started by Bandi Sanjay was to know the facts and problems of the people and to remove the corrupt, dictatorial and family rule of the KCR government. He asked the people to think for an alternative and support the BJP to form a poor and pro-farmer government in Telangana.
