NEW DELHI: According to a recent response to a Right to Information (RTI) query, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not taken a single day off during his nine-year tenure as the Prime Minister of India. The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) confirmed that PM Modi has been continuously engaged in his official duties since assuming office in 2014.

The RTI request, filed by Prafful P Sarda, an activist and entrepreneur from Pune, posed two specific questions. The first query sought information about the number of days Prime Minister Modi has been present at his office since taking office, to which the PMO replied that he has not taken any leave since assuming office.

The second question inquired about the number of days the Prime Minister has attended various events and functions in India and abroad during his tenure. The PMO provided a website link that displayed the astounding tally of over 3,000 events attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi since becoming the leader of India in May 2014.

These revelations from the PMO's response to the RTI request have gained widespread attention on the internet, sparking reactions from various online users. Many expressed admiration and gratitude for Prime Minister Modi's unwavering dedication to his duties. One user commended him as a "great and ideal PM," thanking him for his commitment and responsibility towards the nation.

Another user hailed Prime Minister Modi's relentless commitment to serving the country, describing him as a leader who sets a shining example for all. Even Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, shared the RTI response on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) with the hashtag #MyPmMyPride.
