Bangalore: A shocking case has come to light from the Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka where a police constable has committed a heinous crime like raping a minor girl. The accused constable was posted at the Kadba police station. A case has been registered against the constable. According to a complaint lodged by the victim's father, the minor girl had come to the Kadba police station two years ago to register a rape case. Since then the accused police constable had started coming to his house.

The victim's father said in the complaint that the constable used to come and go to their house in the name of summoning. The accused had also promised to marry the girl on the basis of which he was constantly physically abusing her. The incident came to light when the victim was found to be five and a half months pregnant. The victim's father then refused and suggested an abortion when the victim's father asked the accused constable to marry her daughter.

Not only that, the accused said that he would also bear the entire cost of an abortion. The accused also paid Rs 35,000 for the abortion of the victim after which the victim underwent abortion. The accused constable then took both the daughter and mother with him. The daughter and mother have reported that they have been kept in an unknown place. The victim's father said the girl and her mother have been missing since September 18 and are not getting any clue. Dakshina Kannada police have taken the accused into custody and started investigating the case. Dakshina Kannada Superintendent of Police Sonawane Rishikesh Bhagwan said the accused police constable is in custody and the case is under investigation.
