Prince William Praises Christopher Nolan at 2024 BAFTA Awards:  Prince William, attending the 2024 BAFTA Film Awards, expressed his admiration for Christopher Nolan, calling himself a "big fan" and praising Nolan's film 'Oppenheimer', according to reports from People. The ceremony took place at London's Royal Festival Hall, where William voiced his hopes for Nolan's success. Indeed, 'Oppenheimer' clinched the award for Best Film, with Nolan also honored as Best Director.

Despite his enthusiasm for Nolan's work, the Prince admitted he hadn't yet seen the box-office hit 'Barbie', stating, "I haven't watched Barbie yet, but I want to." As the president of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts since 2010, William also lauded the quality of British films and female directors in the past year. He mentioned plans to create watch lists for himself and his wife, the Princess of Wales, to catch up on the noteworthy films of the evening.

During the event, hosted by actor David Tennant, Prince William was seated next to actress Cate Blanchett. Post-ceremony, he engaged in discussions with director Jonathan Glazer and producer James Wilson about their BAFTA-nominated film 'The Zone of Interest', emphasizing the importance of passing down such stories to future generations.

The Prince's attendance at the BAFTA Film Awards came amidst his wife Kate Middleton's recovery from abdominal surgery, as revealed in a statement from Kensington Palace on January 17. The statement informed the public of the successful surgery and indicated that Middleton would remain in the hospital for ten to fourteen days before continuing her recovery at home. It was also mentioned that she was unlikely to resume public duties until after Easter, underscoring her desire for privacy regarding her medical condition.

The 2024 BAFTA Awards, as reported by People, showcased outstanding talent at London's Royal Festival Hall.
