Punjab Police busts 5 modules, 17 terrorists arrested

Amritsar: The Punjab Police has busted five major terror modules in the last 10 days, arresting 17 people. Apart from this, the police have also recovered 3 grenades and an IED from the terrorists. Inspector General of Police Sukhchain Singh Gill has informed that gangsters like Lakhbir Singh alias Landa, Harvinder Singh alias Rinda and Arsh Dalla, who have now become terrorists, have suffered a lot of damage by the police team to the terror module being run on their behalf.

Gill has said that three members of the terrorist module supported by the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI were arrested on October 1, after which one module was busted by the Punjab Police. The module was operated by Lakhbir, who lives in Canada, and Harvinder, who lives in Pakistan. Sukhchain Singh has said that the terrorist module of ISI-backed Khalistan Tiger Force was also busted, which was being operated by Canada-based terrorist and gangster Arshdeep. Two members of the module were arrested from Chamkaur Sahib. Further action will be taken on the basis of their interrogation.

Amritsar Rural Police busted an ISI-backed narco-terrorism module on October 4. The police arrested its main member. IG has said that on October 9, a module of Khalistan Zindabad Force was busted, which was operated by Gurmeet Singh alias Bagga living in Germany.
