According to Rolling Stones, FBI agents detained Fetty Wap at Citi Field in New York on federal narcotics charges. The rapper, born William Junior Maxwell II, will be arrested in federal court in Central Islip later today, according to a law enforcement source. Until his arraignment, the rapper's indictment will remain sealed.

The Rolling Loud music event was placed nearby on the same day of the arrest, and the rapper was one of six people accused in the case. This isn't the first time Fetty Wap has been arrested and accused of a crime. He was accused with three counts of violence in 2019. He was also charged with DUI in 2017 after being arrested on a New York City roadway.

The group was allegedly peddling multiple narcotics and committing crimes when the rapper was popular, according to Rolling Stones. At the time, no more information about the charges was known. Prior to his arrest, Fetty Wap was scheduled to perform at Citi Field's Rolling Loud music festival. The Trap Queen rapper was scheduled to perform with 50 Cent, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Durk, and Jack Harlow on Thursday night.

Fetty Wap, on the other hand, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter best known for his 2015 single Trap Queen. Unfortunately, Twyshon Depew, Maxwell's younger brother, was shot and died in their hometown of Paterson, New Jersey, in October 2020. He also recently made headlines with the untimely loss of his 4-year-old daughter, Lauren Maxwell, earlier this year.
