"It's never too late to better yourself," she wrote. "It's never too late to enhance your health, your heart, your happiness, your harmony." "Go for it, everyone who is only trying to be a little bit better this week! Every little bit helps. It's worth putting in the effort. You're deserving of it, "she went on. Wilson proclaimed 2020 her "year of health," according to PEOPLE, with the goal of shedding 165 pounds. She continued to do so until 2021, and she recently remarked on how far she'd come. Wilson shared a photo she discovered from her "unhealthiest" era, when she was "using food to dull [her] feelings" following her father's death.

Wilson, on the other hand, said she can now "look back at that girl" and be "very proud of what she's become and accomplished." The actress of the upcoming film Senior Night told media that she "was definitely consuming 3,000 calories most days" before starting her weight loss quest. She learned to cut back on carbs and up on protein while keeping a "overall balance" and allowing herself the odd In-N-Out burger.

Wilson claims she hasn't "gained any weight back" for the first time in her life as a result of her improved mindset. "I believe since I attacked it from all angles... the biggest thing I hadn't ever worked on was the emotional part, which I suffered from, I guess, as traditional emotional eating... so I really worked on that," she explained.
