Dehradun: The families of the students of Dehradun living there are also upset over the war between Ukraine and Russia. Some students have also spoken to their families on mobile. Those who have said that they are still fine there, but the pictures that came out this morning have scared the family members. Dr. D.P. Joshi, a specialist paediatrician at the Government District Coronation Hospital and former state president of the Provincial Medical Health Services Association, said his family was upset due to the deteriorating situation in Ukraine. He spoke to his son Akshat Joshi on the phone on Thursday morning. Akshat said that malls etc. are crowded due to the emergency. People are adding stuff.  

Akshat said that there is a lot of problem with drinking water there. Therefore, drinking water also has to be bought from the mall by buying a bottle. Which makes it a problem. Akshat Joshi is pursuing his MBBS from Kharkiv city of Ukraine. It is his third year of MBBS. In view of the growing alarming situation in Ukraine, Akshat Joshi had booked a flight for February 27 when the family spoke. Akshat said- 'Dad, don't worry, I'm fine, but here... In the meantime, Akshat's phone was cut off. Parents are worried about not having a phone call. He was scheduled to arrive in India on February 28. Due to the entry of the Russian army in Kyiv, the flight is also threatened.

Had to come to Kiev by flight covering a distance of 9-10 hours from Kharkiv. Thereafter, from Kyiv, he had to catch a flight to India. At present, there is a crisis on the arrival of many students and other people including him to India. And here in Dehradun, his family is in trouble. In cities like Liviv, Kharkiv, including Ukraine's capital Kiev, the families of students who have gone to Dehradun for medical studies are worried about their safety.
