New Delhi: On Independence Day, PM Modi will address the nation from the historic Red Fort on Saturday. On this occasion, strong security arrangements have been made at the Red Fort. According to Delhi Police, there will be many levels of security here. In which other agencies like NSG, SPG and ITBP have also been taken help. Giving information, the police have said that more than 300 cameras have been installed for security and their footage is being monitored.
With this, there will be about 4,000 security personnel in the Red Fort and they will follow the norms of social distancing. The security of railway stations and their surroundings has also been strengthened. Old Delhi railway station is near the Red Fort. Deputy Commissioner of Police Harendra Kumar Singh has said that, 'Security personnel have been deployed along the railway stations and along the tracks. Due to the movement of VVIP people on Independence Day, trains will not be operational from 6.45 am to 8.45 am on the tracks near the Red Fort.
A full-dress rehearsal of the August 15 program was held in Red Fort on Thursday morning. Army, Navy and Air Force soldiers practiced in Red Fort. The security system was strengthened during the rehearsal. Traffic was banned. The Red Fort has been closed to common citizens even before Independence Day celebrations. Meanwhile, the Delhi Police has stepped up the investigation operation, further tightening security in Delhi.
