Bangalore: The working president of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee, Satish Jarkiholi has made a very derogatory statement regarding the word Hindu, after which the Congress has again come under the target of opponents. In fact, the Congress leader has said that the meaning of the word Hindu is dirty and said that this word has come from Persian. Jarkiholi was addressing a program of the Human Fraternity Organization in the Nippani area of the Belagavi district of Karnataka on Sunday (November 6). During this, he said that the word Hindu does not belong to India. It is being forcibly imposed on us. He said that the word Hindu means very dirty. According to a report, he also said that Hindus came from Iraq-Iran, they have nothing to do with India.

Congress leader Jarkiholi said that there should be a debate on how the word Hindu came. The word Hindu comes from Persian. Iraq, Iran, Kazakhstan, what does it have to do with India? If you know the meaning of the word Hindu, you should be ashamed. The meaning of the word Hindu is very dirty. The Congress leader said that why some people are making noise about this foreign word, is not understood. Why this foreign word is being forced on us, should be discussed. Let us tell you that earlier Congress leader and former Home Minister Shivraj Patil had also given a derogatory statement regarding the holy scripture Gita of Hindus. He said that jihad is not only in the Quran, but there is jihad in the Gita as well, there is jihad in Jesus as well.

Patil said Jihad has been discussed a lot in Islam. He had said that in the Mahabharata, Shri Krishna ji also taught jihad to Arjuna. Let us tell you that, on one hand, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi is trying to give a message of unity by taking out Bharat Jodo Yatra. On the other hand, Congress leaders are engaged in creating a rift among the communities by showing their hatred towards the majority society of the country.

At the same time, BJP has now attacked the Congress over this controversial statement of Congress leader Jarkiholi, calling it a vote bank initiative. BJP spokesperson Shahzad Poonawalla has said that after Shivraj Patil, now the working president of Karnataka Congress Committee, Satish Jarkiholi has provoked and insulted Hindus. From Hindu terrorism to the Ram Mandir protest, to linking Gita with Jihad, it is not a coincidence. Rather it is a vote bank initiative.

Let us tell you that before this, Rahul Gandhi himself has given controversial statements many times regarding Hindutva and Hindutva. It is only after such statements of Congress leaders that the question arises that why Congress has so much hatred for the majority population of the country, i.e. Hindus. Can Congress leaders make such statements about any other religion? Or does the Congress keep making fun of the faith of the majority just to please its vote bank?
