New Delhi: Today the stock market opened on the green mark on the last trading day of the week. The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) main index Sensex was up 110.97 points, or 0.29 per cent, at 38421.46. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) major index Nifty opened at 11335.30 level with a strength of 0.31 percent or 34.85 points.
Talking about the big stocks, today the shares of L&T, Infratel, GAIL, BPCL, TCS, Doc Reddy, Wipro, Adani Ports, SBI and Bharti Airtel opened on the green mark. Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech, HDFC Bank, Titan, Maruti and Power Grid opened on the red mark. Take a look at the sectoral index, so today all sectors are open in green marks. These include auto, FMCG, PSU bank, realty, pharma, media, IT, metal, finance services, banks and private banks.
The stock market was trading up during the pre-open. At 9:10 am, the Sensex was at 38432.94 after gaining 122.45 points, or 0.32 per cent. The Nifty was up 52.85 points, or 0.47 per cent, at 11353.30. Earlier on Thursday, the stock market closed with a fall. The Sensex was down 59.14 points to end at 38310.49, down 0.15 per cent and the Nifty was down 0.07 per cent to close at 11300.45, down 7.95 points.
