Chandigarh: The SIT has filed a charge sheet in the Nikita Tomar murder case in Ballabhgarh, Faridabad. A SIT was formed to investigate the matter, which filed the charge sheet in 11 days. The SIT filed a 700-page chargesheet at the facilitation centre of the Faridabad district court at around 1:00 pm on Friday afternoon.

The entire charge sheet is of about 700 pages, in which the statements of 60 witnesses have also been recorded. The SIT has prepared this charge sheet in 11 days. In order to make the case strong, digital forensic and material evidence has also been kept in the charge sheet. Police officers also got the legal aspects scooted to senior officers before filing the chargesheet. Police say that all aspects were taken care of before filing the charge sheet and it is their effort that the accused can be punished as soon as possible.

Let us tell you that on the evening of 26 October, Nikita Tomar was coming out of college after giving exams in Ballabhgarh, Faridabad. Meanwhile, two youths tried to kidnap her at gunpoint. An accused Tausif shot him when Nikita protested. She died on the spot after being shot. After carrying out the crime, the accused escaped from the car.
