Srinagar:On Friday, the student from National Institute of Technology at Hazratball,sparked off the clashes after India’s defeat against West Indies in the World Cup T20.As a result the leading authorities of NIT close the institute until further notice.

On Thursday the team India lost the semi final match of World Cup T20, than some local students burst crackers, after that the student divided in two groups starts fighting.

On Friday, A group of students from other states in the NIT hostel came out a protect march inside the campus that triggered clashes between the group.Meanwhile , rushed to the spot and stopped the situation from spiraling out of control.

Police said, “students smashed window panes and caused damage to college property”

However, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq( Hurriyat Conference chairman)doomed the physical offense of Kashmiri students by some jerks in an engineering college in Dausa, Rajasthan, saying such attacks are measured with the purpose to scare Kashmiri students.
