Morena: In the Morena district of Madhya Pradesh, it was difficult for a junior engineer to collect electricity bills. Some miscreants in the village attacked JE, somehow JEi escaped from the spot and saved his life. The video of the assault on JE is also fast going viral in social media. A case has been filed against the miscreants after the incident. Three persons have been booked for assault and under the SC/ST Act.
According to reports, the case is being reported from Lepa village under the Sihonia police station area of Morena district. Neeraj Lunia, the JE of the power company posted at the Sihonia sub-station, along with linemen Virendra Singh Kushwah, Santosh Kumar Prajapati, Sandeep Jatav and Sakaldeep Jatav had gone to lepa village to collect the bill amount to the defaulters. Virendra Singh Tomar of Lepa village owes a bill of more than 50 thousand rupees. When JE Neeraj Lunia asked Virendra Singh Tomar to pay the outstanding bill, he started hurling abuses. When he protested against the abuses, Virendra Singh called Karu Singh and Tillu Tomar. The trio together attacked the power company's team. The miscreants beat JE with shoes and then started pelting stones.
The video of the same case was made by an electricity employee which has also been handed over to the police and is also going viral on social media. Somehow JE escaped from the spot to save his life and informed the police about the matter. On the complaint, three criminals have been booked under sections of the SCST Act, obstructing official work and other sections.
