Jaipur: The attackers, who came in vehicles, attacked the house of the sarpanch of Akoda Gram Panchayat of Chauhtan Panchayat Samiti in Barmer district of Rajasthan. While beating the sarpanch and her husband so mercilessly, the husband broke both his legs and arms. After first aid in Chauhtan, he was admitted to the district hospital, after which the sarpanch's husband was referred to Jodhpur due to his condition being critical.

According to the police, Guddi Devi, the sarpanch of Akoda gram panchayat, and her husband Viraram son Rauram reside in Sunder Nagar locality of Chauhatan town. In the evening two-three miscreants came to his house and attacked the sarpanch's husband with sticks. Both the legs and arms of the husband were broken. At the same time, the sarpanch who came to the rescue was also beaten up. Due to this, his leg and hand got injured. Seeing the surrounding people coming, the miscreants fled from there and people brought the sarpanch's husband to Chauhtan Hospital in a bleeding condition.

Here, after first aid, he has been referred to Barmer District Hospital. Sarpanch's hand and foot X-ray has been done. At the same time, CT scan and X-ray of the sarpanch's husband was done, after which the sarpanch's husband was referred to Jodhpur due to his condition being critical. In the preliminary investigation of the police, it has come to the fore that due to enmity in the Sarpanch election, miscreants have attacked. After reaching the district hospital, the Chauhatan police station has started investigating the entire case by recording the statements of the sarpanch and the sarpanch's husband.
