Betul: A man was beaten to death for ransom in Betul district of Madhya Pradesh. After the murder, the accused fled away leaving the body in a private hospital. The police has also disclosed in this case within 12 hours. Police have taken 6 accused related to the incident into custody. The ransom amount recovered from them has also been confiscated.
According to the information, a person named Sajid Khan was kidnapped for ransom on Thursday night in Betul's Bhaisdehi. Sajid Khan was brought from Bhainsdehi to Betul by car and after beating him, a video was made and sent to the family members. In this case, the accused also demanded a ransom of one lakh rupees. Due to the assault, Sajid's condition deteriorated and the accused fled leaving him in a private hospital, mistaking him as half dead. When the doctor of the private hospital checked, Sajid Khan had died. The doctor informed the police about this case.
Betul SP Simala Prasad has said about this that after seeing the footage of the CCTV camera installed in the hospital, it was found that the accused had come in a black car. When the owner was traced by the number of the car, it was found that the car was sold 2 days ago. The relatives of the deceased have told the police that Sajid was kidnapped for ransom. The family members had also given 90 thousand rupees to the kidnappers. Police has taken 6 accused into custody in this case. 4 accused Vicky Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Sonu Khan, Raja Khan have been taken into custody from Amravati, Maharashtra. At the same time, two accused named Jhamru and Golu were taken into custody from Betul. An amount of 90 thousand rupees taken as ransom has also been recovered from the accused.
