A fierce collision between the Palamu Express and the van, and then..."

Patna: A major accident took place on Danapur-Masoori section in the early hours of Monday. The pickup van came on to the railway track and palamu express was announced from the other side. The driver of the van jumped out of the car when he saw the train approaching. Meanwhile, the pickup van crashed badly when it was hit by a train. The train stopped some distance away after the incident.  It is said that there has been no loss to the engine or coach of the train in the incident.

It has been learnt that the incident took place near Sampar Gumti in the middle of Taregana Arai Nadwan railway station on Danapur-Masoori railway route. The Palamu Express train stopped at the spot after the incident. The incident was immediately reported to the control room. After which the GRP team rushed to the spot and started removing the debris of the pickup van. It is believed that when the accident took place, there was no one else in the pickup van other than the driver, otherwise a major incident could have taken place. Indian Railways is constantly engaged in the effort to ensure that no vehicles are able to come on the railway track, yet there is constant fatal negligence.

Right after reciving information about the accident, the team of Taregana GRP reached the spot and started the work of removing the debris from the railway track. Where it is also said that Palamu Express (Train No. 03348 Up) collided with cargo tempo on Patna-Gaya railway section. The tempo stuck in the train reached about 500 yards away from the spot. The driver of palamu express was averted from a major accident due to his readiness and understanding.
