It may face investigation, which may include imprisonment of 7 years. According to the notice issued by the Ministry of Electronics IT, in addition to the jail term or fine, the government can also ban the social media platform Twitter in India to inspire the movement with the aim of instigating tension in the society.

The notice issued by the Department of Electronics and IT has said that this has led the campaign to create misuse, inciting tension in the society on the unproven basis. The department also said that instigation for genocide is not freedom of speech, but a crisis for law and order. Twitter has unilaterally unblocked accounts tweets despite the government's order, the notice stated that Twitter is an arbitrator and is bound to follow the government's directive. If Twitter violates the orders of the rules, Twitter is inviting a legal inquiry for itself.
