Lucknow: The Social Welfare Department has found huge irregularities in the verification work being done regarding old age pensions in the Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh. In fact, during the verification work, it has been revealed that the pension is also going in the name of more than 13 thousand people who are no longer in this world. That means they are dead. But still, the pension is being deposited in their account.

Along with this, more than 45 thousand such beneficiaries have been found, who are not living at their address. The District Social Welfare Officer has informed that the pension of such people has been stopped. Pension will be given to them only after the verification work is completed. The department has asked all these pensioners to get their Aadhaar cards certified. At the same time, in the case of deceased pensioners, the Social Welfare Department is collecting information about their death.

In fact, on the instructions of the Social Welfare Department of the UP government, verification work is being done about the old age pensions in the Hardoi district. Aadhaar authentication of pension holders is done during verification. Following the government's directive, the District Magistrate directed the Social Welfare Department to verify all old age pension holders.
