Kanpur: A case of the killing of three persons in a shop near a bus depot at Fazalganj in Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh has come to light on Saturday morning. The bodies of the three deceased were found tied in a rope. These include a young man, woman and 1 child. The deceased have been identified as Prem Kumar, his wife Geeta Devi and child Naitik.

Police have seized the bodies of the trio and rushed them to the hospital for postmortem. Police are examining the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby. People present at the spot are being questioned to gather evidence about the incident. The 3 simultaneous killings have posed a major challenge to the police. All senior police officers of the district reached the spot and are taking stock of the incident. Earlier on Friday, miscreants shot dead Harsh Yadav, district vice president of Saresham Samajwadi Yuvajan Sabha Kanpur Dehat, at Barra Sabzi Mandi in Kanpur. The firing rocked the vegetable market. Meanwhile, the accused fled from the Safari car with the SP flag. Police have arrested Shivendra, an accused in the incident.

The accused is said to be a rural district secretary of the Samajwadi Party (SP). In Kanpur district, one criminal offence after another has raised constant questions about the functioning of the police. The second major murder case has taken place in the last 24 hours. The news of the triple murder has shaken the entire province.
