Lucknow: Thugs sold a house with a man for Rs 50 lakh, claiming ownership rights over a house in Gomtinagar in UP's capital Lucknow. The fraudsters even registered the house through fake documents. The buyer then reached the house to shift and neighbours came to know that the house was in the name of another person. The victim has since registered a case against the fraudsters.

According to Sudhir Chandra Mishra, a resident of Aishbagh Nawabganj, he was contacting several people to buy houses. Meanwhile, he came to know about a house in Gomtinagar Namrkhand. Investigation revealed that the house belonged to Umrawati Kushwaha from Chhota Bharwara. They had contacted the woman. Umravati's husband Umesh Kushwaha, sons and daughters were also present. The house deal was settled for Rs 50 lakh after the talks. Umravati said she would register only after receiving the entire money.

Sudhir had transferred Rs 50 lakh to the bank accounts mentioned by Umravati and Umesh. The accused had registered through fake papers after the money was deposited in the account. Sudhir was preparing to shift to the house with the family. So, some construction was started in the house. Meanwhile, he was told by neighbours that the house was not of Umravati. Sudhir could not believe it at first. On interrogation, it was found that Umravati had prepared fake papers and sold the house. Sudhir has since filed an FIR against Umrawati, her husband Umesh, son and two daughters under sections of trust and cheating in Wazirganj Kotwali.
