Lucknow: Police in Uttar Pradesh's Gautam Budh Nagar district have arrested an auto driver named Chand. He was trying to trap a Hindu girl by concealing his identity. The girl has lodged a complaint against him at Dankaur Kotwali. Dankaur police station in-charge said that the 22-year-old girl, originally from Mau district, lives with her family in Ghaziabad. She is pursuing a DLF course from DIET located in Dankaur, Greater Noida. She used to travel from Ghaziabad to Dankaur by auto every day.

The girl alleged that she got to know the auto driver while going to college. He told his name was Pintu Pandit. The girl says that the auto driver trapped her in a love trap by calling herself a Hindu. The two had been in contact for about six months. He was putting pressure on the girl to get married. When the victim came to know that the auto driver's real name is Chand, she lodged a complaint with Dankaur Kotwali.

Police investigations revealed that the auto driver's real name is Chand. He's also already married. In this case, the victim gave a written complaint in Kotwali and the police have registered a case on the basis of that. The SHO said that further legal action is being taken in the matter.
